Here for all to see - my attempt at a concept map. The intention was to illustrate the upward motion of the dynamic technology, while showing stabilization of the static technology. I do appreciate comments. :) Chris W.
Chris, I like the layout you have provided for you web. However, I would argue the blog and wiki as being dynamic. I would consider these to be in the middle or gray area due to the sychronus style they support. Wikis and blogs have lag time and for the most part do not answer questions. Wikis are collaborative so they could be dynamic, but blogs are opinion, and the lag time can be dramatic. Most blogs are abandoned and never updated. Overall you have a fine representaion of the continuum.
Super job on the concept map. I find it so interesting to see the different learning styles and creativity coming out as we work on these different projects. I agree with your comment that we are using more dynamic technologies in these classes. I found it interesting that Bradley felt that wiki's and blogs were more static than dynamic. I would say that this depends on how the wiki and blog are beings used. What is your thought?
I really like the simplicity and logic of your concept map. It definitely seems we are shifting toward the dynamic end of the technolgical spectrum using blogs like this. Interesting effect!
